Valentine Cupcake Box
A few years ago I put out a video for a mini cupcake gift box. This year, for Valentine's Day, I wanted to make cupcakes for my neighbors and put them in a gift box. My thought was to make regular size cupcakes and decorate them with sprinkles and a conversation heart.
I looked at a couple of different boxes, but didn't find one that wasn't too complicated. So I revisited one I made a couple of years ago. I found that, in that video, I made a huge faux pas!!! I gave the wrong dimensions and the wrong scoring for a regular size. So I'm correcting that error here today.
Start out with a piece of card stock 8-1/4" square. Score on each side at 2-3/4". Then follow the video for the scoring and cutting. Here's a couple of templates to help guide you. I see I made another booboo on my labeling. The center says a regular size cupcake box top, this should be for a mini, because I can't run anything larger that 6" through my die cutting machine. DUH! But that is what your top should look like when it is all scored and cut. The bottom, the scoring and cutting layout is the same. (WHEW!!)
Maybe it's best to watch the video. LOL
I almost forgot! Here's my previous video on the mini cupcake box.
Well, I think it's time for a nap. This old brain has been going into overdrive today.
