Soft Pastels Technique Classes

Have you seen the NEW Soft Pastels collection in the 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalog? No? They are on page 126.

When I saw these I wasn't really sure how to use them. Do I color with them? So I avoided them. Now I think they will be one of my favorite ways to add texture and color to my cards.

If you were also feeling hesitant about getting them, join me for my series of three classes on Zoom Class three Wednesdays in January, January 5, 12 and 19 at 5:30 CST.

In each class we will cover two techniques. If you are not available for the Zoom classes, join me for a Facebook Live the following day at 2:00 p.m. CST. I have some friends that are not on Facebook, which is why I'm offering the Zoom classes. Zoom is a little friendlier in that we can see each other and ask questions. More like being in an in-person class.

To sign up send me an email: cottagelanestamper@gmail.com. No matter where in the world you are, we can get together. When you email me to register I will send you the link and the password to join the class. Please put "Register Soft Pastels" in the subject line of your email.

There is no cost to this class. But you will need a few materials. I'm allowing a couple weeks so that if you don't have some of these things you can get them in time (hopefully). I will sent out a sheet before each class on what materials we will be using that week.

Here are the materials you will need along with a couple of your favorite stamp sets.

Stamp sets, whatever you have handy, these are the ones that I will be using

  • One that has an image that you can just color. Flower images are good for this. I'll be using the Art In Bloom stamp set on page 116 of the Annual Catalog.

  • Another stamp set that has coordinating dies or punch. I'll be using the Daisy Lane stamp set and punch on page 37 of the Annual Catalog.

  • And also a new bundle in the 2022 Jan - June catalog, that debuts on January 4. The stamp set is called "Sweet Conversations" #157618. I will use this stamp set during the last session so that, if you want to use this too, you will be able to order it in time. It's on page 10 of the new mini* (if your demonstrator ordered you one it should be arriving in your mailbox shortly).

Both of these last two options will be available on January 4 and are located at the bottom of the website landing page.

I hope you will join me for these series of classes! I've missed stamping with friends, with Covid virus still very much a part of our lives.

If you haven't subscribed make sure you do. You can also request to be part of my Facebook Group page: Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends.

Hope to see you in the New Year!
