Fun In The Sun Popup Slider Card
I tell you, I really had a lot of fun with this card. First because this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit "Fun In The Sun" is my favorite kit in a long time. I love all things beachy, and this had it all. Second, when I saw this Popup Slider fun fold I knew that I wanted to combine these two things.
I actually spent about 6 hours in my craft room yesterday. First making my trial card with so many elements from the Fun In The Sun kit. I did a lot of cutting and pasting and sponging. It really is a stepped up card. I wanted to still use the Fun In The Sun kit for this video but make a simpler card for this second Popup Slider card.
I did run into a first bumps in the road, first I miss measured one of the elements of the mechanism, then my memory card became full and I didn't notice, so I made a second card attempt. Then the sun came creeping in on me (this part was not fun in the sun LOL) so I started a third card. Whew, no wonder I was in the craft room for 6 hours, but the time actually flies by when I'm having fun crafting.
This is the original card where I did a lot more work, with sponging and cutting different pieces of the laser cut images from the Paper Pumpkin kit.
This is the card in the video:
Watch the cards in action in the video below.
Here are the dimensions and supplies
Card base: 4.25" x 11", scored at 5.5" (I used Azure Afternoon)
Mechanism:
Piece 1: 1.5" x 9.75" scored at 3/4, 5 1/4, 7, 7 1/2 & 9 1/4
Piece 2: 2" x 5.25", scored at 1/2" and 4 3/4"
This is what the pieces look like when they are scored, also shown is the placement of the Tear & Tape and what the mechanism looks like when it's put together.
The supplies used are:
They can be ordered by clicking on the photo, and if you don't have a demonstrator I'd be honored to be yours. My website is: https://sharonbrennan.stampinup.net
Thank you for spending some time with me. I hope you have as much fun making this card as I did.
Tomorrow I'll have another video for you, with an idea I came up with from a punch I ordered and inspired by another demonstrator.
