Expressions In Ink & Faux Foil
I absolutely LOVE the Expressions In Ink DSP! This week I finally played around with this beautiful suite. I had a bit of a hard time getting started, but once I did the ideas kept rolling. I still have a few more swirling around in my idea bank. Remember to sign up for the coordinating June 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit by June 10 "Expressions In Color".
Today I showed a technique on how to create a faux foil edge. Sometimes you don't have foil in your stash and want a bit of foil for a background. Or you do have some foil and don't want to use the whole thing for the background. Today I show a couple of ways to maximize your foil or to make a faux fail.
To save on your foil, die cut you image from the foil, background layer. Using an adhesive sheet underneath to easily adhere your foil die cut to the top layer piece (DSP).
To create a faux foil edge, take your VersaMark ink pad and run it along all the outside edges of your white cardstock. Then sprinkle some gold embossing powder on the edge and heat emboss it. Don't worry if it doesn't look good in the middle, it gets covered up with your top layer. That's what I did with this card.
Here are all the cards that I showed on today's video.
