Cache Stash Cards

One of the women from our church wanted some more Get Well cards, so I started digging through my stash and found these, along with a couple other card & envelope packs (that are more recent). Hard to believe I don't have a lot of Get Well sentiments so while I'm waiting on my order with So Sincere I thought I would play with these. I wanted to finish off the card pack that I started on yesterday. It's from the SAB catalog from 2018, called Tutti Fruitti. Yeah I know....

I had seen a quilted card on Pinterest, and thought I could make something similar using my banner punch. I cut 4"x 1" strips and layered them across a 3" square of the DSP. (There are a couple of punches in the current catalog that could be used for this Inked & Tiled punch pack.. they are also included in a suite by the same name.) The paper is from Pansy suite from a couple years ago. I wanted a tiny floral print that would look like quilt fabric. The paper in the Inked & Tiled suite would work well with this too. I then layered that square on a 3.25" square of Fresh Freesia.

I still have my quilted embossing folder from a few years ago to emboss the whole square. Maybe you have an embossing folder in your stash that could be used for the "quilting" . I popped up the square on the card base from the Tutti Frutti pack, and embellished with some flower sequins.  Easy peasy!

There is an embossing folder that you can get from the Sale-a-bration catalog in the Softly Sophisticated Bundle, free with a $100 order!!!!

The second card is made using retired paper, Sweet Ice Cream, the retired Stitched Nesting Labels and the stamps are from the Paper Pumpkin kit, No Matter The Weather.

This card started out as an attempt at a pleated fold card that I saw. But it was in centimeters and my conversion and inability to accurately understand the directions failed. So I went with what I knew.

The background on this card base kind of reminded me of raindrops, (I know they are going the wrong way on this layout). I used some DSP from the Sweet Ice Cream (retired) suite. The stamps are from the Paper Pumpkin Kit "No Matter The Weather". Until recently it was available online in the Kits Collection. The sentiment is from "Under The Weather" another retired stamp set with rain boots. The colors I used are Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Pool Party.

Below are the cards that I posted yesterday on my Facebook Page, using card bases from the stamp pack. The stamp set and DSP are both from the Sweet Ice Cream suite from a couple of years ago. Like I said I'm trying to use up my stash. It will probably take me 10 years. LOL. The colors are Lemon Lime Twist & Fresh Freesia (both current) and Cinnamon Cider (retired). This set came with a punch for the ice cream cone. I also embossed the white background that the ice cream cone is on .

Since most of these products are retired I hope the layouts will inspire you to use what is is your stash.
